Away tournament match played on 03 June 2021.
Kicked off at 7:00 PM

Game 3 of FN Teamwear Summer Cup pitched us against our toughest opponents on paper and came at the end of a difficult week and a half , after the death of Fauldhouse player Robbie Mullen , who was close friend of a few boys in our team . Before kick off there was a minutes applause and then a wreath was presented on behalf of Craigshill as well as a donation to a go fund me page , an absolutely fantastic effort by the boys and greatly appreciated by Fauldhouse . After last Saturdays game Craigshill were.out to correct a few things , and straight from the kick off it was clear we were up for this game as within a minute Knights effort went inches wide . Two minute later McGuire had an identical effort also go.inches wide , as we put pressure on the Fauldhouse defence . Macdonald was called into action in the 6th minute as he saved from Fauldhouses first attempt on goal. In the 8th minute a brilliant cross from Dod into the back post was met by Nimmo but somehow his header went over the bar , as it looked like Craigshill had shrugged off last weeks performance . Craigshill were awarded a penalty after Knight was brought down after 12 minutes only for the keeper to save Macbraynes effort and to make matters worse he then saved the rebound also from Macbrayne . With 20 minutes gone McGuire had the ball in the net only for it to be inexplicably ruled out for offside . Craigshill.would soon rue missing so.many chances as in the 24th minute Fauldhouse scored , the game then begun to open up a bit and with two minutes to go Craigshill were posted missing as Fauldhouse scored two before half time and went in leading by three goals unreservedly Half Time Fauldhouse 3 Craigshill 0 Another hard hitting half time.teamtalk was needed and a change of formation did the trick as Craigshill scored from the kick off as Knight and McColgan.produced what can only be described as an unorthodox one two up the park that resulted in McColgan slotting the ball beyond the keeper for Craigshills first goal . This seemed to.spur Craigshill as they took a foothold in the game and began to dominate, finding lots of space all over the park and causing some real problems for Fauldhouse , and in 52 minutes a second goal came as Knight headed in at the back post from McColgans cross . The comeback was complete in the 68th minute when Macbrayne flicked in from Avinous long throw to give Craigshill a well deserved equaliser . Despite constant pressure for.the remainder of the game , Craigshill just couldn't get the winning goal their play deserved Full Time Fauldhouse 3 Craigshill 3 A good result against a Premier Division team that for.better finishing and a lapse of discipline would have been so much better . The good thing is we can sort out the problems of the last and know that on our day we can beat anyone and can be confident in our ability to do so . Also after the events of the last couple of weeks , we have to remember although football is important to.all.of us , sometimes it has to take a backseat as there are more important issues out there RIP Robbie
