Home league match played on 28 March 2013.
Kicked off at 8:30 AM

With the Division 1 title within reach the Boners next opposition was Unathletic. The previous encounter saw FC Barcaboneher come away with all three points in a 3-0 victory, so they were quietly confident going into the game.

The game soon settled down and eventually the Boners had their goal. Great forward play between Simon 'Dave' Waterworth, Darbinho and surprisingly Ben 'I can't score for shit' Abbott, lead to Abbott miscontrolling the ball which fell to Darbinho and there was only going to be one outcome- 1-0 Boners!

With a 1-0 lead the team knew that they needed to score another to make life more comfortable and they pressed on. As always chances were made and more goals should have been scored.

Arguably the chance of the game fell to Abbott. Sloane had the ball on the right wing and slotted the ball through the legs of the opposing player for Abbott to run onto. But Abbott lived up to his name and sliced the shot wide.

As the game went on and the Boners continued to squander their chances, Unathletic became more confident, with their keeper even joining in on battering down the Boners defence. As ever Ryan 'Pete' Bogdan played the role of Gandalf and let no one past!

With Unathletic becoming impatient the game heated up once more and the handbags came out between Simon 'The bear' Epps and a similarly bearish fellow from Unathletic, with the dispute resulting in Eppsy being invited to the car park for a good old fashioned knifing.

FC Barcabonehers shooting was summed up with the last chance of the game. A long ball from Pete to Pedro 'Santi' Cazorla saw the Bolivian go for the spectacular half volley which he blazed over the bar. It was later revealed to him by his team mates that he had time to 'have a cup of tea' before shooting.

Another win for the Boners and a much deserved week off next week before the title decider against Kent Gurkha FC.
