First Half

For todays first league game we welcomed Gosling Youth Seniors to our home venue, Valley View in an exciting game between the two attacking teams.

The game started off in good spirits with a few chances from Rebeiro, slighty putting the ball past the goalkeeoer to trail past the post on many occasions.

A few more chances by the forward two, Bartlett also having a few chances which were all on target.

The Gremlins had a corner on the 27th minute where Hiddlestone had his shirt pulled, debaitable to some, and a penalty was given.

Andrew Williams stepped up and went to the right, sweetly putting it to the top left hand side of the goalkeeper, sending him right.

(Williams, Pen, 28,  1-0)

Second Half

The second half started with a few changes, Christian O'Neill come on for Paul Mazza, which added some pace down the left. Kris kane come off for Mark Humphry who created a few chances for the two strikers, who on the day just could not finish.

Another change was made and after a horrific tackle was made on James greenwood, Humphry had no choice but to face the last 20 with 10 men.

More attacks from the front two created more chances not just for them but for the other team mates too but due to a decent goalkeeper, the Gosling team were very lucky he was on form as it would have easily been 5-0 by now.

Another good play from the Gremlins saw Chris Hiddlestone have two saves cleared off the line.

Matt Humphry, Greg Bailey, Dave Enright all had a great gameand kept the back four a solid line.

Mark Humphry had a few chances again before the end of the game, linking up well with O'Neill and Rebeiro.

Bartlett had the last chance of the game where he was one one one with the goalkeeper and to his luck, was unfortunately saved and not followed up.

Overall the game got a bit nasty towards the end, but a firm 3 points in the bag for the Gremlins.
