Away cup match played on 16 October 2011.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

2 minutes extra time played.

The Gremlins were welcomed today by a even stats matched fixture playing away to The Skew Bridge FC.

Like the Gremlins, The Bridge have won all of there games this year and are top of their league, four seasons above the gremlins.

Humphry changed the team a little today with a 4-5-1 formation with Rebeiro up top with 3 supporting midfielders.

The Gremlins started off well with the first attack coming from Darren Rebeiro who was put through by Andrerw Williams, who was challenged hard by ther Bridges defence.

A few more attacks by Rebeiro who was put in by a solid attcking midfield of Lloyd, Hunt and Williams, but could not find the net.

The game was end to end with 15 minutes played, when the Bridge took over complete control of the game and started the passing from the back all the way to theior 6 ft 5 inch striker number 9, who held the ball up very well.

The Bridge had over 15 attempts in the first half it goes without saying, until 25 minutes played, the Bridge had a free kick on the outside of the box which was blasted through the wall of defence and dropped by Humphry into the net for the Bridge to take the lead.

(35) 1-0 Skew Bridge FC

A few more attacks from the Gemlins but none of the attckes were good enough.

A few decisions were given each way which were not correct and a few mistakes by the referee were given, however, each team had its fair share of decisions between them.

Coming to the end of the first half and with some speculation over a O'Neill tackle saw O' Neill next to pick up the ball and go on a trumendous run down the right hand wing, take on three defenders and pass the ball into the middle of the box for Martin Lloyd to equalize.

(45) 1-1 Lloyd

Second half

The game started off well with the Gremlins up for the game and ready to take the lead however it was not to be their day.

Jamie Hendle deserves a special shout out for how well he palyed, keeping the number 9, twice his size on point all game.

Lloyd, Hunt and Williams kept the attcks flowing but could not produce a goal, Mossy on the left wing played brilliant, and O'Neill played even better down that right wing, I'm sure someone said he's naturally left footed!! :P

The Gremlins started the second half well, but didn't seem to want the win.

However the Bridge started off even better and mid way through the second half saw a through ball into the striker which wasn't cleared and the midfielder to smash the ball into the net.

(74) 2-1 Skew Bridge FC

The Gremlins head all dropped, and the Bridge really fair to say owned the better half of the whole game.

The result leaves the Gremlins first position in the league, and still unbeaten however the cup is over for them until they play The Chequers on the 6th November in the league challenge cup.

Afc Tiddlers FC next week, lets get some goal difference! and move on from this loss.
