last weeks game was eventful, as the draw made the chase for the title even closer, but today the Gremlins started off slower than usual.

Newly signed Attacking midfielder Blake Nalder made his debut home appearance today and wish him all the best.

Dan Humphry,  led out a 4-4-2 formation leaving Rebeiro, O' Neill and Pat Hunt on the Bench.

The gremlins started off passing and moving for the first 10 minutes really well however after some good play by the SLM FC players the game went a little down hill for the Gremlin boys.

The first half was end to end however none of the teams could put the ball past either goalie.

Blake Nalder had a few tackles put in and a few good turns to get out of tight situations .

Parkes saved a few near chances and mid way through the first half saw Greg Bailey clear a great chance off the goal line.

The Gremlins defence were Beaten on the 34th minute by a well timed run from the number 10, who was through on goal and put the ball past the Gremlins keeper only for it to hit the post and come back out to be cleared up the pitch.

Hendle kept it tight on the left and made plently of line passes to Gary Moss who also played a great part in the first half.

Second half

After a slow start to the first half Humphry left the squad how it was with no changes.

The Gremlins had a little bit more flow and passing in the first 5 minutes but after 15 minutes had past nothing was happening and he was forced to make a 2 changes.

On come Rebeiro for Mark Humphry who had a good game, not one of his best, and Off come Blake Nalder for Pat Hunt.

Rebeiro immediately made an impact to the game after a few well timed runs put him in on goal however the last touvh wasn't good enough to pass to a team mate.

Pat Hunt created excellent runs from the minute he come on and set up a few good chances.

A free kick on the 75th minute see Gary Moss chip the ball over to a much speculated offside Christian O' Neill who tucked it under the keeper and into the bottom left hand corner for his 2nd league goal this year.

75 (1-0) O'Neill 7

The gremlins were a little happier they were in the lead and not chasing the game as the paly was opening up a bit more.

More chances from Andrew Williams which were saved until 4 minutes later on the 79th minute saw a great through ball from Williams to Rebeiro who quickly took it round the keeper for a tap in for his 3rd league goal this year.

79 (2-0) Rebeiro 9

The game become a bit sloppy towards the end and as it was played out it seemed that the SML FC players had given up on the draw.

Overall not a great game for the gremlins, but got the much deserved 3 points as they were the better team in the second half.

The Gremlins Fc stay top of the League.
