Home league match played on 18 October 2014.
Kicked off at 1:45 PM

32 minutes extra time played.

In what was a very high spirited game the Blacksmith Arms came from 2-0 down draw 2-2.

Before the game manager Craig Poxon addressed his team with the pupose to score him goals, and they did finally deliver,

From kick off it was Blacksmith on the attack 1st but some good work from Ryan Skivington was allowing them to get down his wing.

The the game seem to have no life to it with not very much happening for 15 minutes the only thing of note was Captain Rex-Bryd moment in which he had to notifie his manager that he need a poo.

Then a chance for Riley's came after some good passing between Jamie Allen and James Lathbury which seem jamie through on goal but his shot is weak and staright at the keeper. Then a minute later Jamie now dropping back into his own half wins the ball but finds himself on the end of a very dangerous tackle, The blacksmiths player finds himself in the book, Ben Rex-Bryd take the free kick and delivers it into the box but the header can't be directed at goal. Then on the 19th minute mark to the managers shock a breakthrough Daniel Brittian playing left midfield today put Jamie through on goal and he finishes shooting between the keepers legs. 1-0 Rileys FC.

Blacksmiths now from the kick off go right on the attack, Riley's defence is strong and Ben Robinson is going in strong not giving the attacker and time on the ball. Blacksmiths since they gone a goal behind have really turned up the tempo but leaving themselves exposed and Riley's find themselves counter attacking everyone of there surges forward, notablely John Lathbury winning the ball and starting a counter passing it wide to james who pokes it forward to jamie and he slides it back to james who plays jamie in on goal, jamie is blocked by the defender who successfully makes a tackle, but Rex-Bryd is there putting on the pressure and his efforts lead to a a chance which the keeper catches.

Ben Emery usually the keeper who's really busy has had a quiter game than normal and on the 35 minute has to make his first really inportant save the deny Blacksmiths and equalising goal. he plays a ball out to Lee Ford who runs the ball forward and passes down the line to Brittian he plays a ball over thers a bit of a scramble and the ball is in the air by Anthony Crofts, Rex-Bryd goes for the ball but is taken out unorthodoxly by the Blacksmith keeper and should of resulted in a penalty.

So much passing going on in the team and it's a game of just keeping pocession John Lathbury on the spot is passing one two's with the defence around the oppostion. Then comes another chance for Riley's when Jamie finds himself through on a rush to goal, only to be wrongly flagged offside. Blacksmith again continue to look for a goal and find themselves in with a chance in the form of a free kick right on the edge of the box but the shot is low and cleanly blocked by John and Cleared by Adam Dickerson.

Then in a hugh error John Lathbury seems to panic on the ball there pressure in front of him and he doesn't know what to do some he turns straight around and kicks the ball to the keeper without looking, There's a Blacksmiths player still learking from the previous attack who hasn't returned onside between them. Ben Emery rushes of his line to challenge for the ball and comes out on top. It could of bin a very costly mistake, in what was easily the underweighted back pass of the wekk, month, and possibly the year.

In a 1st half that seems to be never ending the referee has played 5 minutes of added time, but not before Riley's get another chance, John performing a sliding tackle wins the ball and passes it long to Jamie with so much time he has the option to pass across to Brittian for a FIFA goal but opts to shoot but kicks it straight at the keeper, he spills it and jamie misses the ball bouncing back at him.

2nd half

4 minutes in Goal

Some good work on the right by James he finds jamie who again finds James and he passes across to Brittian and he smacks the ball home.

2-0 Riley's

Speaking too soon Blacksmiths going straight on find them selves through on goal keeper Ben Emery rushes out but the ball is taken around him and shot towards goal. Lee Ford makes a scrabble for the goal line but his attempt to clear the line can only divert it into the side of the net.

2-1

Riley's have been dented and lose ball from the kick off. but John wins it back. The best move of the game see Ben take a goal kick passes it out to Lee he runs the ball and passes to Brittian he taps it across to Rex-Bryd who plays it through for Brittian but Lee has continued his run and runs it further forwards he taps it across the Jamie his 1st time shot is blocked by defender and out for a throw in.

Rex take a Throw in long and Crofts gets his head to it and then its poked over the line, but the referee says no goal he's give a free kick for crofts having his hand on a players shoulder when jumping for the ball.

Blacksmith have a corner now, something Riley's never had all game and the ball is headed clear by Ryan out of the box as the ball comes in Croft fouls a player on the edge of the box, the free kick is over the wall and tipped over by Emery and the resulting Corner is headed clear by Brittian.

Sub Sean Parker comes on for a straight swap with Anthony Crofts.

Parker staright in on the action has the ball at his feet in midfield goes forward and plays a through ball the Brittian the keeper has gone to ground and Brittian chips it over him but gets the direction all wrong and its out for a goal kick.

Sub Laurence Scully on for Daniel Brittian

A freekicks 10 yards outside the box lead to a comotion between a Blacksmith player and Scully leads to a Blacksmith player getting booked. The freekick is shot well and flys in directly above Emery's head, It was a deja vu to the Rec FC goal in Riley's 1-0 loss to them.

From the Kick off Blacksmith's are really going for it Riley's have been knocked and seen there 2-0 lead disappear.

Sub Louis Burger on for James Lathbury.

Blacksmiths are having all the pocession but Robinson and Dickerson are working there socks off in the centre theres as solid as the twin tower only a plane is gonna take them down.

9 minutes left play is stopped Blacksmith player goes down he's dislocated his elbow, 25 minute delay before play resumes.

From the off Blacksmiths are pumped, where as Riley's players look like they have got too relaxed in the wait and a shot at goal is saved well by Emery.

Some good pressure from burgers which results in a ball forward through to Loz he takes the ball and lobs the keeper into the net, but the goal is ruled out for offside as Parker made a run to the ball Loz recieved dispite playing no part in the goal.

Final whistle goes much to the relief of the manager as Riley's finally gain there 1st point. but maybe perhaps should of taken all three.
