Away cup match played on 10 January 2015.
Kicked off at 1:00 PM

22 minutes extra time played.

How many refs does it take to screw in a light bulb?

Riley's FC must surely be questioning this after another inconsistant referee costing them another game with a poor performance.

The Referee wrongly gave a goal, and waved away a stone wall penalty. Among the other mistakes players must of thought the refs watch had stopped when an additional 20 minutes was played with baffled players and managers.

Every time Rileys fight for a good result, a referee or a unfair linesman seem set to spoil their positive momentum in the clubs progression.Rec FcRileys's FcGoals20Shots On target64Shots Off target95Corners82Fouls Won (or questionably given)117Cards00Offsides52

Ben Emery- His reliable self in goal made a couple of key saves which certainly helped drive his team forward looking for a result.

Danny Parkes- Looked to be back on form today kept Rec FCs right winger at bay and found time to press and deliver a few good crosses in, Had a late long range floater effort at goal hit the top of the crossbar.

Ben Robinson- Had a good solid game at the back, got stuck into tackles, but overran himself into trouble when charging forward. His long throw looked menacing in the air.

Adam Dickeson- Was run ragged by oppostion but held up attacks excellently and was head strong, got snipered out of position at one point which brought a few laughs from the spectators, and partly at fault for Rec FC's 2nd goal.

Steve Robey- Found himself with a challenge of dealing with Rec FCs dangerman, but handled the task well, put in tackle after tackle. Was luckly not to recieve a card after kicking out at a player who had fouled him moments before.

Daniel Brittian- Ran up and down the wing helping his left back, Delivered some great balls in the box, unlucky not to get a goal with a headed chance late in the 1st half.

John Lathbury- Drifted into attack and defence mode with great commitment holding the centre, most of actions seems to happened around him but got into open spaces for when he was needed. Had the best chance of the 1st half but scuffed his shot wide.

Anthony Crofts- Had his best game by far, made only 1 mistake all game, challenged all balls in the air and on the ground, nifty foot work played others on towards goal, got his own chance to get a goal but his effort went wide.

Josh Beech- For 1st 25 minutes seemed like his head wasn't in the game and then found his rhythm, took on players delivering numerous dangerous balls into the box, had chances to get a goal, wrongly denied a penalty when he was taken out in the box when through on goal.

Ben Rex-Bryd- Was leading the way with the heavy pressure from the begining, winning the ball and then pushing foward making ground selflessly passing the ball when sometimes maybe should of carried on towards goal himself and shooting. Was Riley's best player in the 1st Half.

Lee Ford- Put in a new position but did the job he was asked to do, he put heavy pressure on Rec FCs back 4 never allowing them to move forward with the ball cutting out alot of Rec FCs pressure, ran onto balls when delivered, Good Cross into the box heads towards goal but keeper manages to make the save.

Jamie Allen- Never allowed Rec FCs defence any time on the ball, unlucky not to get a goal a couple of good chances were saved and blocked inside Rec FCs box.

Laurence Scully- Effective playmaker, great throughball led to denied penalty, assisted on the left flank crossing balls into the box and across the edge of it.

Graham Haynes- played a defensive midfielder role to allow more attacking style from the midfield, got stuck in well, but guilty of giving away free kicks, once the kettle boils you either pour it and let it burn, or it'll gradually cool down.Team movement9/10 Action was all over the pitch todayTeam Mentallity9/10 People were switched on and stepping up in thier performanceTeam Work8/10 On occasions more support was needed in marking players, but closing down and tackling was excellentTeam Communication6/10 Wind was heavy which meant voices needed to be even louder, a few times it was a man on or someone putting thier name on the ball was missing.Team Vision8/10 Looking up well, watching for dangers and picking out fellow team mates.Team Morale10/10 Kept your head up and kept pushing all the way till the final whistle. Came off knowing you played some great football.
