Luke looked like he was going to have a very busy game in the first 5 minutes. Made a great save early on and had little to do after that. Came off of his line a good two times to gather the ball up and put us on the attacking foot.
Leo had some lovely tackles and link up with Taaj was brilliant when one went the other was looking to cover. Heard talking from Leo aswell which was again really good to see and important to see any dangers that may of come.
Harley had a very composed game and read the ball really well to break up the attack on two separate occasions. Always looking to move the ball forward and looking for a pass into space which is another reason we are able to attack so easily a real rolls Royce performance
Taaj what a performance, Taaj's positional sense is fast becoming his greatest asset, His willingness to get back and help the team out before his own glories is a massive boost for the team as a whole. Massive performance from him and really made the difference on the day he was stopping all sorts of breaks and like Harley was looking for that pass to get the break on the go, It felt like wherever the ball was he wasn't far behind at all! 70% of the world is covered by water, The rest is covered by Sartaaj Singh!!! Man of the match
Levi had a very mature game getting back to his best ways of hustle and bustle in the middle and looking to drive forward with the ball played a defence splitting pass which was top drawer. Due to persistence and hard work he didn't let a dead ball go to waste and kept going to get the ball deservedly in the back of the net.
Henley adding to his goal tally with his running into space. His striking of the ball is back to where it was when we first saw him play it's powerful and precise. Unlucky not to walk away with 3/4 goals on the day hitting the post a few times aswell another great job done with his movement into space and not giving up on his pressing duties.
Arthur ran and ran into space no one could keep up with him hit the post aswell and a few assists to show his ability to make the right pass. When Arthur gets going at full speed I don't think anyone is able to keep up with him he's like a whippet great game.
Alex started the game slowly but grew into it as the game went on. A superb cross which was put away with ease due to being accurate. Finally we scored from a corner!!!!! Great header which no keeper was stopping.
Reeve like Levi had a very mature game holding his position well and talking with Taaj and Alex about who should go and who shouldn't. Confidently passed the ball around and even went back to Leo at one point as it was the easiest pass on but going backwards is always a nervy one when playing at this age so a simple thing like that takes some courage. Nice bit of skill to which Taaj bought to training one week and showed the boys Reeve used it very well to skin his man on the wing
Logan another one with an engine that just keeps going loves to take a player on and beat them which he did for the last goal played through a great ball which was so simple but extremely effective at the end of the match went on to say that everyone deserves man of the match and that's a brilliant attitude to have and we love to see it.
Jacob had a confidence boosting game took his first goal like a Mark Viduka special right place right time and a side foot volley past a scrambling goalkeeper. Second goal was due to his hard work showing determination to get the ball to do the work past the defender who was left in a heap on the floor, This was the goals I think Jacob needed to get that confidence sky rocketing again.
Tom really wasn't feeling very well, He let us know in the warm up and you never know if it's just a bit of nerves or they genuinely are feeling under the weather. Not wanting to let anyone down he gave it a go and had a great run at one point. Mentioned to us that he really wasn't feeling it and wanted to come off. Turns out poor Tom really wasn't feeling very well but still went through the motions not to let anyone down.
A great game from the boys and at times we looked unstoppable now that passing the ball has clicked with the boys we look rejuvenated especially after the summer tournaments when the heads had dropped a little.
