SBU 0 BLUEHOUSE 4   Sunday saw the seasons usual tussle against BLUEHOUSE which historically have always been competetive and tasty matches. In our early season victory SBV showed  combativeness and showed it played football that ensured a victory, thus in dong showed SBV superiority. How thoigs changed for this specticle. SBV now minus many of that starting eleven knew this match would bve won only by matching Bluehouse in the combative sense however this was not the case as the scoreline suggests.   SBV minus its recognised strikers started well and showed as a team it was tight and resourcful. SBV showed good passing and moved ball foward well and enjoyed much more of the run of play from the early exchanges. Bluehouse also demonstrated thier guile and with an effective fontline and a combative midfield showed an early indication they were up for this match Benfleet Benfleet threatened and kept much of the early possession with Bluehouse countering. In these early exchanges SBV has two shots saved and one effort blocked just short of the goal. They also had several corners but did little to threaten from them   Twenty gone and through one such counter attack after benfleet had gone close with a good cross which evaded everyone but needed a strikers touch to put SBV ahead saw the ball break left. Thier striker shot which unluckly saw KEITH save but the ball brake free for an easy tap in. SBV 0 BH 1   This stunned SBV and on tis pivotal momentthe game changed as now SBV were chaseing the game and saw a marked difference on how they played. Short passing was repaced by hopeful and ill timed passing which was hit and hope. This was not all down to SBV but also down to Bluehouse which did not allow SBV to dwell on the ball. But it must be said SBV did dwell often too long and therefore lost possesion needlessly and put pressure on thier defense. SBV did open up thier defense but although Harry who worked hard ran hard we were not finding our strike duo. Whereas BH strikers were in clear evidence putting our defense under pressure. In all SBV miseed three good opportunities which perhaps an instictive striker would benefit from.   This caused the usual response from SBV with morgan shouting and garys ears falling off with Chris Miller oblivious to everthing.Dennison Blowing his top and calling someone to see himnext Tuesday. It was clear SBV were ruffled.   Half time 1-0 down SBV trudged from the field   With only Brett as a replacement and Harding who ruled himself out through a heart condition verging death SBV pledge to Rally.   Second half started and although the right words were said application did not change. Through a midfeild mistake very early in the second half saw BH score thier second with a good strike just outide the box, SBV physically melted as the task was now very difficult.   But SBV did rally and through a good move on the left saw the ball at Morgans feet. Morgan polayed a lovely ball into thier box and in came Cliff who with his only touch of the game volleyed over from two yards. memories of Matt came flooding back as only he misses fom so near. This followed by a Chis miller shot which thier goal keeper saved very well. SBV also had corners as we had in the first half but delivery was poor and opportunities lost,     SBV were thenshowing signs of desparation and as time went the passsing went also. Bluehouse enjoyed more of the play and increasingly put SBV on the back foot. Disaster struck when a ball ovber the top saw Ole dennson decide not to call offside but to chase for a ball instead. A fact which did not go un noticed. Being pressured he sidefooted a nice pass back to KEITH THE GOALKEEPER. Keith clearly thinking mark was trying to wrong foot his went left the ball went right and mark Dennison found himself on the score sheet 3- 0, game over ther was no comeback now. This saw the introduction of Brett and the Game continued       heads were visibly down but Brett demonstrated in his first few minutes what SBV should have been dong passing and moving and linked up well and very quickly moved past the amount of touches had in the game than that of his earlier starter brother. BH scored in the last few minuted to complete a miserable afternoon for SBV 4.0   Summary   With so mny players playing not in thier natural role it is not suprising SBV struggled. but in flashed SBNV showed it could move the ball well. Where it let itself down was in not in effort but the will to be combative and getting stuck in. Sometimes you win ugly, look at harry
