AFC Greenwich Borough U13 2 vs 0 Unique FC U13

Evening lads,

Going to keep Sundays match report short and sharp as sometimes you have to see the game for exactly what it was & you can dissect things to much at times.

Heading into the game with Billy injured, Bailey pulling out in the warm up, Lemar not right & having to come off, Sera the same, it was a massive loss to the group, I cannot underplay that!

I felt we didn’t really get going but this was largely down to things on this occasion outside of our control, it’s a shame as our two defeats in the last 15 have come against Fisher (bare 11) & the same again on Sunday for large parts.

So let’s dust ourselves down & go again lads, we have had a wonderful run up to this point & it shouldn’t and will not hamper our momentum going into Sunday.

The game itself was very stop/start, I didn’t think Greenwich were great if I’m honest, but were efficient in key areas of the pitch, it was just ‘one of those days’ & we haven’t had many of them recently.

Max, Theo I thought you both had very good games & I’d put your performance in there as well Doniel, some of us at times lads didn’t look like we fancied it, dangling legs in tackles, running alongside people, one eye on the final maybe?

let’s make sure we move on quickly from Sunday as I mentioned above it was a tough day due to personnel!

Oscar well done for the penalty save, great to have that confidence going into a final!

We should & I know we are absolutely buzzing for Sunday, please ensure we rest properly this week, we have players carrying knocks & it’s important that come 10am on Sunday we are ALL raring to go which I know you will be lads.
