Afternoon chaps,

That’s BETTER!

Taken us the best part of a month to wake up after the final to be honest!

A lot more like the group that we had success with earlier in the season, sharp to the ball, winning duels, wingers high and wide, fullbacks joining in on overlaps and creating 2 v 1s, secure at the back, largely down to the fact we welcomed the big man Theo back in the building.

We started the game really well and dominated the ball, I felt we had good control in the game & was using our outlets of Kai and Bailey reguarly, Lemar you were not dropping deeper and deeper to try and get on the ball and it allowed us the outlet to stretch the pitch and create space for Max, Leon & Noah to dictate the game in midfield, we looked like we had BALANCE again.

Respectfully I thought AFC Lewisham were really poor but in recent weeks we have come unstuck against equally as poor sides but on the whole chaps it was a great way to sign off for the season it really was!

The second half was much of the same & I really enjoyed the freedom we played with, I must stress next season there will be a real empathetic style in how we do things & we will dominate the ball, we saw glimpses of this yesterday and the work will start on that very early into pre-season.

Bright short corners, all the things we should be doing as a standard now this deep into the season if I’m honest chaps!

As I say it was a really solid performance and we could have scored more on the day, all be it giving the run we have been on 7 goals isn’t bad!

I want to take the opportunity to thank you all for your hard work this season it’s been filled with wonderful memories at times & things we must improve on if we want to try and dominate!

I’ll send out an attaching message about how things look moving forward & also the VEO of the game from Sunday!
