Yes boys,
Outstanding display Saturday, my favourite performance of the season if I’m honest given the amount of players unavailable for various reasons and leaning on some of the younger boys to step up who were fantastic on the day as well.
I thought the performance from start to finish was excellent, we were disciplined off the ball & we looked a real threat on the counter attack, Jurrell I want to praise you for your range of passing on Saturday I thought it was excellent picking out runs for Bailey and Kai, this is something we will definitely look to use throughout the season, we deserved the lead with a great finish from Max/Leon (delivery)
As we defended so well, it became apparent we could really exploit Bromley on the break & we just couldn’t get that all important second goal to kill the game off.
As the game drifted on, our Achilles heel at the moment lads, corners, despite defending so many of them throughout the game we eventually came unstuck, we HAVE to defend our 6 yard box better and be comfortable putting our head in where it hurts as-well as our GK claiming that area as his own, which we have spoken about.
After that though boys our reaction was excellent and we thought we had won it with the last kick of the game only for it to be given offside (after looking back it looks like the right decision which makes it easier to take)
But it was a huge shift from everyone of you, Thomas/Max I thought you was excellent as a partnership.
Jude your best game for us yet in midfield in terms of work ethic, you still have a tendency to go drifting but we will work with you on that.
Bailey/Leon/Lemar/Jurrell/Henry/Kai/George I thought you ran yourself into the ground and it was a proper performance from the group which I think unfortunately affected us negatively the following day.
Well done Jude! Just make sure you dominate your area you have to be comfortable coming for corners in the 6 yard box mate.
