Away cup match played on 06 November 2011.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

30 minutes extra time played.

Of all the fixtures in all the world this Game against The Railway was billed to be a blood fest. Two local teams one flying high in Div one with a reputation of pure thugery and fear and one in the fledgling days of its first venture into Mens football in Div 5.

I new it didnt bode well when two referees both cried off one on the day and we had to rely on there manager to do it.

Now I have to be honest they did give me the opportunity to referee if I wanted to but in fairness I would have rather have been hauled up in a tunnel with Gaddaffi then referee that lot and we were soon to learn that their repution is not wrong.

We started the game slow letting them dominate early doors and standing off a bit the tackes were flying in and apart from a couple of heavy challenges on us,  all was going well, As the game continued we got into it more breaking up their attacks with ease.

Jason and Stevie deserve special credit for the work rate they put in from start to finnish and I have to admit that my back four incidentaly without Gavin looked excellent.

Michael started at L/B and played extremely well sticking to his task well and looking as accomplished there as anybody else who has played in that position this season. Especially as this was his first game back for over 18 months he was superb I thought.

Stace and Wes showed flashes of pace on both flanks but we didnt really get the ball out to them enough first half in particular it was very narrow with Ross and Joe feeding off scraps, but none thre less they worked extremely hard together.

Opportunities first half for both sides were few and far between and in the second half I think we were the better team. Any fear we had of them had gone and we created a number of half chances and really had them worried.

There constant bickering with each other was a source of amusement for us and we kept our mouths shut and got on with the game which at times i have to say was extremely difficult.

Credit must go also to our man of the match Matty Saunders who got stronger as the game went on. He attacked defended took four of their players on got kicked and almost Garotted at one point but still played his game, For that Matty I salute you a credit to yourself and an example to us all well done mate.

The score 3-0 is insignificant in my opinion We as a team were the real winners yeterday we outplayed them with 11 men and lost with only 10 men after the game went into extra time and Simon our keeper had to get to his Under 16's match.

Ross therefore went in goal and we played the remaining time out with only 10 men as all our subs had been used.

I said yesterday I am extremely proud of our team from back to front, We won yesterday morally and that is what really counts.

We all want to win and sometimes it does get heated, but as long as you walk off that pitch with your head held high and your dignity intact then you are truly a Warwick Juniors Player.

Remember lad's we pay to play this game, and we play it because we love it. We win lose and draw as a team we take responsibility individually and collectively for our actions and most of all we respect each other and enjoy the game.

Can you say that they enjoyed the game yesterday No would be the answer we matched them in every department and they didnt like it.

For me now we move on to more important business which is the league match against Kineton this weekend. Lets kick on now lad's and do what we do best and play football.

Well done again guy's I am still buzzing after yesterday.
