What a strange day it has been today, A great result today for us a 2-0 win against a  resiliant Priors Utd Seems to mean very little after the tragic death of Gary Speed Today the whole of football feels for his poor family.

Anyway to the game a number of casualty's this week meant changes were made and Michael dropped into Right back Lettsy left Mid and Simon back in the sticks we had no Stacey, so Matty Haycock dropped into Riight Midfield where he did very well I might add.

We started the game very much in the same way we started  against Chadwick letting the opposition have a lot of poesession which to be fair I dont mind because if we were in a sky sports studio it would have shown that they would of had about 70% poesession in the first 20 mins or so but didnt actually threaten our goal at all which is ok.

We defended well solid as a unit but we just lacked a little bit of composure when we won the ball back.

A couple of times we got the ball onto the flanks nice and early and turned them around quite easily so I knew we could cause them real problems and we did. A Nice ball played behind their left back set Matty Haycock on his way, He had a lot of work to do as the ball seemed to hang in the air for ages, however he played a lovely ball into the box that eluded all the defenders and Ross was there to put it away.

That settled us down and we took the 1-0 lead into halftime.

Second half was better Simon still hadnt made a save in anger although he did come and claim some speculative crosses under pressure comfortably but all in all our back four were holding well.

We needed that second goal and when Gav made a challenge on their striker luck was with us the resulting yellow card and free kick came to nothing and we could breathe again.

I made a couple of changes bringing Stevie on into Central Mid with Jason and Pushing Jo up front and Ash out wide, shortly after that Sam came on for Lettsy and we started to get a grip of the game and knock the ball about teh final change came in the 78th minut Matty Ward came on for Joe and his impact was immediate. A free kick was delivered and Matty Ward got first to the ball, with a little flick which Ash was on the end of and bang 2-0.

We really did then start knocking the ball round and although they huffed a puffed they still never threatened.

So 2-0 and another win to keep us in touching distance of Chadwick End its all to play for now lad's Away next week to Inter MB which I think is our Semi Final game which we have every chance of winning as long as we focus and play the simple stuff, Pass and move boys use our pace and turn teams around.

We can do it lad's its in our hands.

Well done today and thanks again to Matty Chinn who had another great performance and deservedly man of the match at Left back leads by example runs all day and drives the team on.

His commitment to you as a team lad's must be commended and also a big thank you to all the guy's who come back from Uni and turn up, You have always supported me and that means a hell of a lot.

Thanks guys you deserve the success lets keep it going.
