About the league
East Manchester Junior Football League (EMJFL) provides grassroots football for young players across Manchester and the surrounding area. The league is affiliated with Manchester FA and its official site states that it serves boys and girls from Under-7 to Under-18 level.

Football for young players
EMJFL offers both recreational and competitive football across its age groups. Its official website says the league provides football experiences for more than 15,000 children each year. FA Full-Time carries the live competition information, while the league publishes season rules and guidance for mini-soccer, youth football, 11-a-side football, cup competitions and parents and spectators.
Current development
For 2026/27, the organisation has announced the East Manchester Girls Football League, sanctioned by Manchester FA. The new girls’ competition is planned for Under-7 to Under-16 teams and is described as combining central-venue and home-and-away formats.
