Hi everyone, another great day for football. First of all congratulations to the team for yet another game without losing. A tough day out see’s us with a 1-1 Draw.
#1 Lexi Groves - Another comfortable day for our shot stopper, great hands today, commanded her box, made good goal kicks and kept us in the game! Very unlucky to concede a goal!
#3 Rosa Bartlett - Rosa filled in today at RCB and what a fine showing for her may I add, totally dominated her side of the defence and helped her LCB on many occasions. Earned herself a POTM trophy for her efforts, and for her team player attitude.
#6 Lacey James - week after week, Lacey is thoroughly impressing the coaches with her sure determination to want to better herself and be a real rock at the back for us, she seemed a lot more composed today and took the time to take touches and make up her mind, as opposed to the previous ‘just clear it’ attitude she has brought in recent weeks. Absolutely bossed her side of defence and really is making herself a really important player to this team.
#10 Millie Thrower - Another game where Millie does what Millie does, she passes the ball, helps the defence and does what she can, had a couple shots from distance which were close, but no cigar! Millie also picked up an assist for our opening goal with a great pass to Macie. She was bit tired today I presume due to recent illness and requested to be subbed early because of it.
#8 Chloe Clements-Vasque - Positive start for Chloe, some great passing moves between herself, maddie and Macie unfortunately fell off a little bit in the latter and found herself ball watching a lot rather than finding the space to run into, spoke about this after the game and hopefully we can improve on this in the coming weeks, determination to want the ball and providing an option is a must!
#12 Dakota Pursey - Great involvement today from Dakota, found herself in some great positions made plenty of tackles and plenty of key passes.. had a 1-1 opportunity and should have decided to take it on herself, but passed it to Macie who wasn’t expecting it and sadly the ball goes out of play, unselfish from Dakota, but sometimes, believe in yourself and take the shot!
#14 Maddie Kemp - Week after week Maddie is showing pure desire and determination to not let players get the better of her even though sometimes they are twice the size of her! She really helped drive the team forward today, sadly couldn’t find the back of the net but passing in the final third was fantastic, especially in the first half.
#7 Arabella Williams - great performance from Bella today, she really tried and got stuck in as much as she could, very unselfish at times in front of goal and maybe should have had a few more shots than the passes she made, I’d like to particularly note that more often than not, when she lost the ball, she tried her upmost hardest to chase the player down to take it back, credible. Much better today from Bella in terms of positional sense, and heard her calling for the ball many of times.
#9 Macie Luck - Much much better from Macie today, scored an opener within 4 minutes, a great goal from her from the pass from Millie. She showed much more urgency, and really wanted to add more goals to the day, she had multiple shots which were against the wind and the grass being slightly high, on another day she scores 2-3. Much improved Macie keep going
