Congratulations on the win today for elite colts. The girls were fine showing today, plenty of positives to take from everyone’s performances.
1. Lexi - Superb performance from Lexi today, made well over 5 saves, a good few were crucial, very unlucky to concede a goal, made all attempts to try to redeem the lost ball, very unlucky. Well done Lexi.
2. Lacey - great performance again from Lacey, she is performing to a much higher ability, showing higher levels of strength and awareness as she has done in recent weeks, keep it up Lacey.
3. Lila - another well rounded performance from Lila, beginning to be a regular thing now. Solid at the back got stuck in to every situation, and handled her position well, keep it up Lila.
4. Emily - Emily made a direct contribution today for our first goal, taking the ball from the RB position, all the way down the wing beating 2 players along the way, finding a direct short pass to Maddie, which led to the pass for Chloe to find the back of the net. The game vastly changed once Emily came onto the pitch, she game on very attacking minded and drove the team into attack more than defence, well done Emily keep it up.
5. Rosa - Rosa has tried to expand her new roles as a second striker, she is adapting very well and learning to shoot at every given opportunity and not try to get to close to goal before she pulls the trigger, lots of work rate today, loads of tackling and loads of shots, very unlucky to not score today, had a 1v1 opportunity with the goalkeeper, took the shot one touch too early from distance when could have been slightly closer, unfortunately the distance led to a comfortable save from the goalkeeper. Keep it up Rosa, it is coming!
6. Chloe - Chloe worked extremely hard today finding key positions and urging the team forward, she was readily available to receive the ball on the wings and had no other plans that to take on her marker and cross the ball, Chloe took a first time shot just inside the box and found the back of the net with great accuracy. Well done Chloe keep it up.
7. Millie - Millie had found lots of opportunity to take shots from distance today, nearly got lucky with GK mistakes but couldn’t find the net, defensively today superb, but seemed very reluctant to push forward today due to the opposition attacking in numbers. Well done Millie keep it up.
8. Dakota - Dakota made some vital tackles today in the middle of the park, she found several key passes for Maddie & Macie which led to attacks, Dakota’s passing is a key factor of her game and does so consistently, well done Dakota keep it up.
9. Maddie - Maddie well and truly led the line today with a player of the match performance, Maddie was a real nuisance to the opposition defence, constantly pressuring them forcing mistakes at the back, Maddie was very comfortable taking her mark on today, and doing so got 2 assists one with a great pass, and another by driving into the penalty area and passing it across goal for macie to find the back of the net, well done Maddie keep up the good work.
10. Macie - before the game Macie was doubtful in playing due to having a slight foot injury which she advised before the game started. Nevertheless macie came on hungry for goals, she had several opportunities in 25 minutes and scored one of them; her persistence up top to take the ball from the defenders was a pivotal part in todays win, she created lots of opportunities for more attacks by doing so. Well done Macie keep it up!
