Away league match played on 31 March 2012.
Kicked off at 12:00 PM

With Galaxy winning on the last three occasions we have played them, it was good to break the sequence and get a point today.  Both sides could look at the chances they missed and think what only, but in the end a draw I think was the right result.  Two evenly match good footballing sides.

Most of the game was end to end stuff, Dylan made a great run for our first chance but his shot come cross to Luke found neither the net or Luke.  Luke and Ethan were combining well, together with Joe on the wing and we had a few half chances.  At the other end, Galaxy using the wind well were a threat from throw ins and corners, good defending headers and strong tackling from Kyle keep them out.  They did though get on the score sheet, Kieran bravely blocked the ball, loose ball was looped into the net, the wind just seeming to confuse Ipswich in the goal.

Jets didn't let this effect them though, and were soon back on level terms, after Luke had just gone close, good football down the right from Joe fed Luke who put in a hard cross which the keeper could only parry, and top scorer Ethan was in the right place once again to smash the ball home.  Minutes later, and somehow Galaxy managed to clear the ball off the line, first the keeper made a great save, ball landing nicely for Ben who smashed the ball goalwards but the defender perhaps without knowing much about it stopped the goal.  Again we went close with a shot just going wide.  At the other end Joseph had to handle well, and Kyle was in great form keeping Galaxy to some half chances, it was on the break when Galaxy went ahead, Dylan was tackled and a quick ball left galaxy player one on one and he volleyed in first time giving Ipswich no chance. 2-1 at the break.

Second half and with the wind advantage, the Jets dominated the first ten minutes of the half, Dylan, Luke and Ben all going close.  A good corner from Ipswich was cleared for another corner, this time even better delivery was met superbly by Ben who headed towards the top corner, only for a outstanding save by the Galaxy keeper. This time a corner on the right from Dylan whipped in well deflected on to the post, on the rebound Joe B pushing up volleyed it superbly to make it 2-2. Jets were now well on the front foot and the Galaxy keeper was called upon to make lots of good blocks. Jets couldn't make the pressure pay, and in the last ten minutes Galaxy really should have made us pay. Some wide shooting, one superb save from Kieran, and other good ones, and some desperate defending kept them out. Would have been harsh on the jets to lose, but we were thankful for the final whistle to grab a point. Well played all the boys!

For man of the match, his skillful runs grabbed the attention of the Galaxy players and coaches as they gave the decision to Dylan, well done Dylan! For home coaches decision as usual for the Jets lots of strong contenders, Ben was unlucky not to score a couple and had a very good game, while Luke caused Galaxy lots of problems, Kieran made some excellent stops for me personally thought Kyle was deserving of the award, great work as the one defender.  Next game will be another tough affair as we meet Galaxy's club team mates in the form of the storm.
