Home league match played on 08 October 2011.
Kicked off at 12:15 PM

With both teams going into this game undefeated clearly something had to give...and it did but it was Heyside to suffer on this occasion.

The team was missing Kyle today through illness(hope you get better soon)and maybe we were missing his spark, but let's not make excuses.

From the kick off it became a scrappy affair and the lads seem to find the conditions very difficult, miss timing tackles, and the ball not being controlled properly,at one point we could have sworn that ALIENS had abducted the team that turned up last week and put on such a stunning performance.

Credit to Chadderton they won all the 50/50's and passed and moved really well, sometimes you have to applaud the other team for playing so well and before we knew it we were 2-0 down. We never really created anything in the first 20 mins. Normally Jack and Josh who have made such a solid partnership were getting ripped apart by the forwards of Chaddy and the midfield of Lewis Jake and Jayden seemed to always be second best to everything. Darren tried his best but was cutting a forlorn figure up front,Connor came on but found it difficult against a strong Chaddy backline.

Harry really kept the score-line down and I really don't want to single individual players out but he has to be the best keeper in the U10's three divisions so a big pat on the back goes to him.

Half Time - Heyside Jnrs F.C. B 0 Chadderton F.C. Jnrs B 2.

Team talk was given and everyone was told that they really had to give 100% or they would be looking at their first defeat. It did seem to work as we started to win some of the 50/50's and get a hold of the game but Chadderton were a bit too stong in all departments and Lewis who had little few chances today was unlucky not to a least get one goal for all his endevour but maybe that would have flattered us a little.

We did alright but can do better and we can't really complain as every team has an off day and this team has progressed so well I am very proud for what they have achieved so far...let's hope we can get it out of our system before next week.

Nothing much really happened for Heyside today..alot of determination but struggled at times when the simple things that they have trained so hard at wasn't forth coming.

Full Time - Heyside Jnrs F.C. 0 Chadderton F.C. Jnrs 2.

The game was played in a really good spirit and well done to Chadderton for making it that way they dominated from start to finish and were deserved winners on the day. Their coaches and kids on the B Team made this game a good advert for football and good luck to them for the rest of the season.

M.O.T.M. was given to Lewis as he was asked to play in midfield for the first time today and worked his socks off and did everything asked of..well done Lewis !!!

Primary Cup game against the best team in all the divisions next week so ALIENS please could we have our B team back !!!!
