Home league match played on 19 November 2011.
Kicked off at 12:15 PM

As expected Medlock played their A Team first,we could have done the same but we had every confidence in the lads due to their recent performances and as we have always said from the start we will always abide by the rules set out by the EMJFL.

Heyside started brightly putting in strong tackles from the off to show that they weren't going to be no push overs. Medlock set out their team playing two up front so as to catch us on the counter attack and they got some joy from this early on with a well taken goal, but that was about all they had to shout about during the first half as most of their attacks were snuffled out or came to nothing.

Harry was in top form again commanding his area and his kicking was spot on today, after a bit of a shaky start at the back Josh and Jack started to communicate better and seemed to be getting the better of the Medlock attack.

Jake Jayden and Darren put in a good shift but didn't get as much time as they would have liked to get the passing going,Lewis once again was causing havoc for Medlock and nearly got an equaliser with his persistance. Darren was replaced by Connor who took the job up front whilst Lewis dropped back into midfield.

Most of the play seemed to be in midfield and Heyside were giving it their all and came off at half time to a big round of applause.

Half Time - Heyside Juniors U10s B 0 Medlock Rangers Blacks U10s ???? B 1

During the team talk we told the lads that we couldn't have asked for any more from them and just go out and do the same in the second half, and they did with just two minutes in some good work down the left by Jayden who for all his effort gained Heyside a corner,up strode Kingy to swing a delightful cross in, steaming in on the front post was Jake who met the ball sweetly and it went like a bullet into the top corner leaving the goalie firmly planted to the spot.

Medlock were rattled and started to pressure more and more and maybe were getting on top at this stage. Some fine passing by them gained them the advantage with their second goal catching the defence and Harry a bit flat footed, but heads never went down and the game started to open up. Again chances were being created and Medlocks keeper pulled off some great saves to thwart Lewis once again.

With ten minutes to go the game was at a knife edge and Heyside went pressing for the elusive equaliser but it wasn't going to be our day as Medlock took all the points late on with Heyside unluckily scoring two own goals.

Full Time - Heyside Juniors U10s B 1 Medlock Rangers Blacks U10s ???? B 4.

A brilliant gutsy impressive team performance that showed that we are not far off being a really good outfit, personal I think it was a harsh result and it was closer than the scoreline shows. Training is starting to pay off and each and everyone battled for everything today and nobody shirked their responsibilities.

M.O.T.M. - Jack Dowd.

Harry Allen - Good safe hands and some fine kicking today. Not often he concedes four goals in a match.

Josh King - Solid again at the back and moved into the midfield late on in the game assisted Jake from his corner.

Jack Dowd - Fully deserved M.O.T.M. Battled like a terrier all game against an attacker who was twice the size as him but never gave him an inch of space.

Jayden Elson - Up and down all game no wonder he got a stich. Carried on from last week.

Jake Hussain - As I told his Dad before the game he was due a goal if he just took a chance, and boy did he do it in style.

Darren Knebel - Got in some good positions on the left and played up front later in the game.

Lewis Bramwell - Consistant once again and very unlucky to come up against a very good keeper, the goals will come though.

Connor Knowles - Put himself about and tried to link the play when he could but came under pressure by the Medlock defence.
