Inter Menan 5 vs 1 Westover Wasps

GRAYSOCKS  stings the wasps!!!   Mike Graysocks™ once again proved to be a sensation in the Tangerine colours of Menan as he stung the Wasp’s and sent their title aspirations hurtling out of the hive….   The Menanians welcomed their new signing Herd Carter, a signing managerial big wig Plumpton has been after for a long time. Carter found his place on the bench, eager to get on and impress his new team mates. Carter said “It’s been a dream of mine for such a long time to play for a really good team, sometimes even wet. The boys at my old team were just rubbish, some couldn’t even kick straight and I’m sure one actually had a limp!”   The game got under way on a cold dark eve at the Pindar astro arena with the Menan boys looking to strike revenge on the Wasps for derailing their title charge earlier in the season, and that’s exactly what they did right there…   Dobson was quick to add to his impressive goals tally with a haymaker David Haye himself would have been proud of. Egged could do nothing about it as it whistled into the net. Dobson was looking on top form, most probably due to his recent Boro Town call up which has seen him lay off the fizzy pop and magic smarties of late to concentrate fully on his soccer career. There was the slightest bit of controversy as the ball played to Dobson was in fact played by the match official – Mr Dead. Mr Dead had been stumbling around since the KO and found himself playing a beauty of a through ball for Dobson to convert, Dobson obviously thanked him with a swift handy and a kiss on the chops… Cheers Mr Dead…   More Menan good times were to follow as Plumpton laid the ball in to assist King Gez Wards path, he made no mistake by firing once again under the hapless Egg’ed who was becoming incredibly upset in net. “They are cheating, it’s not fair they are cheating!” he cried. Upon being asked why, the sobbing Wasp stopper and Football Mundial World Cup England hopeful added “Herd,…..Herd… he doesn’t play for Menan he plays for the Oak!” With such a call coming from the goalkeeper the 21 man strong crowd at the arena began to whisper, could it be?? Have the Menanians broken the sacred Football Mundial rule 142.6b; - Register all Oak players transferred before any encounter with Wasps….. Don’t worry gang….its all fine….. Herd Carter made the big money move in the regulation 32 days before any match and all paper work was checked and double checked by Football Mundial stalwart Albert Eadon.   Mr Dead was proving to be Menan’s best player as the corpse like figure of a referee better known as Mr Jones, suddenly found himself in the way of the action once again, this time intercepting a Wasp pass and playing it to Menan hero Dobson! Dobson played a neat little one 2 with Graysocks™ and showed great aplomb by netting his second and Menan’s 3rd of the game, it was fast becoming a rout.   Westover had no answer to Menan’s pace, power and goal scoring nowse, and this was all without Phil Pickard!   Half Time Menan 3 – Neil Westover   Westovers usual “all men behind the ball and kick it right hard up the other end and hope it goes in” tactic just wasn’t working and Graysocks™ was the man to send Menan 4 up.   Great work by Dobson down the left found Graysocks™ completely unmarked; he did the rest with a rocket of a shot which sent shockwaves through the 6 a side league. “What a strike” said a Menan fan, “Where does he get such power” gasped another. Graysocks™ is keen to share the knowledge of his incredible tekkers with all that may ask, especially young children who look up to him and in fact want to be him. Graysocks™ will be releasing a forth coming Soccer Skills Bible titled “How to score good goals” be sure to check out your local WH Smiths on 14th May 2010 and pick up your copy!!   The back line of Willan, Plumpton and Ross were relatively comfortable all evening with the latter 2 engrossed in a topsy turvy game of Rock, Paper Scissors when suddenly a Wasp forward sprang into life and knocked a point off the score line to set it at 4-1.   The game was finished in true epic tekkers fashion, again check out the Soccer Skills Bible for tips on how to improve your tekkers as the Master once again showed us how it’s done… With the ball hurtling towards our hero Graysock™ he did in fact –unleash the beast!!! A wonder strike, a goal you will tell your children about for years to come, a statue will surely be erected of Graysocks™ at Menan’s Olivers Mount training ground after this one. When asked by our touchline reporter Teresa Green, Graysocks™ said “I call that one the Scissor Sock Strike” as he described his 25 yard scissor kick that hit the onion sack and finished the Wasps off once and for all!   An epic performance by the Menanians but there can only be one Man of the Match, which this week was voted for by lad’s mag “Huge Hooters”. Tonights Hero was expectedly Mike Graysocks™ who as said before is in stunning form at the moment; can he make the England 6 a side squad for South Africa? Will he come up against his Menan team mate Tony Ross in the Scotland Camp??? We will have to tune in next time to find out…..
