The game was over as a contest after just 11 minutes as Leatherhead raced to a 3-0 lead, with opportunist strikes from Steve John on 6 and 11 minutes, and Scott Coppin after 8 minutes. The Tanners midfield opened up the visitors defence time and time again, playing one touch football at a good tempo that was too much for Fetcham. <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">&nbsp; <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">Coppin, John, Savitt and Holman used their superior pace to create opportunities and Bennett and Will Ashdown quickly switched play with good crossfield passes to which the struggling opponents had no answer. Bennett made it 4-0 on 36 minutes with a well placed header, Savitt made it five on 43 minutes with a close range finish, and Mark Farr powered home a header from an Ashdown corner on the stroke of half time. <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">&nbsp; <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">Leatherhead introduced four substitutions at the break, with Tom Ashdown and Tom Dale providing extra energy in the middle of the field, &nbsp;and temporarily Fetcham were able hold out but countless wide runs created half chances that were wasted before Bennett struck a fine volley from the edge of the area on 74 minutes giving the Fetcham keeper, who had performed well despite the onslaught, no chance.
