It was Stewart who opened the scoring on 10 minutes capitalising on a defensive mix up, after Steve John had pressurised the defender and Stewart was left with the simple task of finishing from close range. Leatherhead really should have wrapped up the game in the opening 30 minutes, such was their domination, regularly beating the offside trap with clever running, and Bennett, and Alcoe linking up well with the strikers with well timed runs.
