<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">LDSFL DIVISION ONE <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">&nbsp; <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">Leatherhead&nbsp;&nbsp; 6&nbsp;&nbsp; Brockham Green&nbsp; 5 <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">H-T: 2-1 <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">&nbsp; <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">Leatherhead won an 11 goal thriller at Fetcham Grove on Sunday morning, with first team manager Richard Brady scoring a 86th minute winner, in an eventful encounter. <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">&nbsp; <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">Leatherhead started slowly failing to close down Brockham, and early sloppy passing put pressure on the Leatherhead defence who were exposed after 16 minutes when Brockham took the lead after the home side needlessly conceded possession just outside their penalty area. This prompted Leatherhead into a far better spell of play, with Matt Sime probing the flat Brockham defence with a series of good runs down the right wing, with Will Ashdown and Mark Farr opening up the defence with fine passes. Leatherhead dominated play at time wore on and Justin Holman equalised on 33 minutes, swiftly followed by Brady giving Leatherhead the lead five minutes later following a well worked move and cool finish, Other better chances were then squandered by both Brady and Holman, as Sime continued to create opening, with Tom Ashdown and Steve Fitzgerald also coming close before half time, by which time the game really should have been put beyond Brockham Green. <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">&nbsp; <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">After just 6 minutes of the second half Holman made it 3-1 with the goal of the game, cutting in from the left and bending a 25 yard shot into the top corner giving the visitors keeper no chance. Leatherhead should have closed out the game, but Brockham fought back making it 3-2 on 63 minutes despite strong appeals for offside, from a poorly defended free kick, and an unexpected equaliser followed five minutes later, once again following appeals for offside. A penalty awarded for handball against Farr meant the game had turned round to 4-3 in Brockhams favour, with worse to follow for Leatherhead, when a deflected shot was collected and converted to make it 5-3 on 80 minutes, leaving a stunned home side motionless. <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">&nbsp; <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">There followed a spirited response from the shell shocked Leatherhead, with man of the match Holman, finishing confidentally to collect a fine hat-trick, and the momentum was once again with Leatherhead. There followed a wave of attacks and corners, and it was Holman who equalised from an acute angled shot on 85 minutes.
