Radford Go Top!!

Another league win for the boys in Black and an accomplished performance from all the lads in readiness for the biggest game of the season next Sunday.

Rumours of domestic violence in the Lovelock household proved to be just Chinese whispers as the Crow Man turned up in high spirits to give his most rousing team talk of the season inspiring the lads to inflict a crushing defeat on Leam Rec.

Everybody we had spoken to had nothing but praise for Leam Rec and we knew we would be in for a tough game against them and with the pitch being absolutely shocking we knew we would have to raise our game.

Problems before hand included Influential midfielder Seb being absent from the starting line up and big Moses who had forgotten to change his clock the night before also MIA………..  James Clarke taking full advantage of the state of the art facilities before hand.  Matty must be an early contender for the most prepared player of the season……….switching footwear at the last minute to give a Jimmy Grimble esque performance.  The Bear had been given special leave of absence to join Eminem & Dr Dre on the upcoming Hip Hop tour of the world.

On to the game…….

Getting used to the pitch was the initial priority and after 5/10 minutes the lads had control of the game and were starting to cause problems………..some nifty link up play saw Lee lay the ball off to Matty who slotted home for a 0-1 lead.  Magic Boots.

After the ball went out of play some quick work by Wilko in taking an early throw in to Stevie B who played the ball through to Ando and with a shimmy of the shoulder he composed himself to crash the ball into the top corner for 0-2.

The third goal came just before half-time with Ando playing the ball through to Wilko who nestled the ball into the net in off the post for 0-3.  Great half time lead.

Despite knowing that a Leam Rec goal could claw them back into the game they managed to pull one back after a sublime finish by their number 7.  If anyone was at fault for the goal it would be the guys mother for producing such a wonderful talent.

The introduction of Nick Dhillon paid off after he latched onto a pass by Matty and neatly put the ball away to give us a comfortable 1-4 lead.  With the result pretty much tied up veteran midfielder Lovelock was introduced and played a big hand in the final goal after starting off the move which resulted in midget striker Paul Wilkinson taking the lead in the very first Big Daddy T top goal scorer award.  Take a bow son. 1-5.

Great Day, Great Game and a spirited performance.  Every one of the lads showed the spirit which has put us top of the table.  I salute you all.
