A difficult game for the boys but they battled and performed brilliantly.

In possession -

The lads played very well in possession and provided us with many positives throughout the game. The first half was a bit of a learning process with a new formation. We didn't have much time before the match to discuss it thoroughly with the lads but we had a good chat at half time and reiterated what we wanted from the boys in each position, and in the second half we looked a lot better. We managed to work plenty of attacks which unfortunately we just couldn’t put away. Me and Tom were very impressed though with how well the lads adapted and worked in the new shape. Another big positive to take away from the match was that we started using Noah in our build up play proving that we can use Noah in an effective way to help us find shape and give us time when we have the ball.

Out of possession -

Out of possession the boys did well adapting to the new shape and understanding what we wanted from them. They all listened well to the role and responsibilities we gave them and they implemented it very well. The boys could have been a little more assertive in their tackles and when clearing their lines but they are simple fixes that will make us a lot stronger.

? MOTM - Seth

Seth was excellent. He worked hard up and down the pitch all game in a position that does ask a lot from him. He threw himself into some great tackles and managed to score himself a very well taken goal.

A very good performance from the boys and we were unfortunate not to score a few more goals than we did. The game provided us with plenty of positives for us to build on.
