Lambeth Classics is a club that has built a nice reputation within a short space of time. The club was formed in 2007 mainly from players who had played for Patmore, Lambeth Monaco, Italia Westles or Battersea FC with a majority of the players either formally attending Henry Thornton or Tulse Hill Secondary School.

After being victorious in countless Power League 5.A.Side competitions, the idea of Lambeth Classics was born.

In our first season we finished 3rd in the Morden & District Division One Vets League, missing out on runners up spot by just two goals.

For some teams that would be seen as success, but not for Lambeth Classics as the taste of winning is the only taste our players are prepared to accept.

A small consolation was that we won the Fair Play Award for the entire Morden & District league, but in my opinion that’s the same as winning the Inter Toto Cup also better known as the “Inter Two Bob Cup.”

After changing our home ground from Fishponds Playing fields to Southbank University Playing fields, the club is making a statement that it intends to succeed by playing attractive but effective football with the objectives of building a family based club that every member can feel proud to be part of.

The clubs aim for this season is to better it’s positioning from last season and that equates to the following;

· Top two finish in the league

· Semi-Final spot from one of the three cup competitions entered

To reach these goals we will train hard and play hard but most importantly respect those who are part of us and have fun on & off the field. Providing we do these small but important things, a good season awaits us.

The club was founded in 2007 by a group of players who had played for Patmore, Lambeth Monaco, Italia Westles or Battersea FC. They finished 3rd in their first season in the Morden & District Division One Vets League, missing out on runners up spot by just two goals.

In 2009, the club won the Fair Play Award for the entire Morden & District league. They have also reached the semi-finals of the Beckenham Cup on two occasions.

Current season

Lambeth Classics FC First are currently in their 16th season. They are currently in 4th place in the Morden & District Division One Vets League.

The club's goals for the season are to finish in the top two in the league and reach the final of the Beckenham Cup.
