Inter Menan 6 vs 2 Spa FC

Menan Hot-heads down Spa! <p style="text-align: center;">Last weekends soccer action saw&nbsp;several Inter Menan players pitting their wits against each other and unfortunately seeing vast amounts of&nbsp;red! Dobson and Willan are on borrowed time before suspensions are to set in and possibly wreck Menan's title hopes. <p style="text-align: center;">With an early kick off and a lack of transport Inter Menan had to shuffle the pack against a team already dispatched 6-2 in the early knockings of the season. Unfortunately Willan's Menanian Range Rover Sport was unavailable, sparking panic that maybe 6 Menanians may not be on the field for battle at kick off with the management almost calling upon the Athletico Harchesterio Legend killer that is the Carson!!! <p style="text-align: center;">'Ged' Made his season debut, with Robbo returning to the sticks after his Tidy FC horror show a few weeks ago. <p style="text-align: center;">It did not take the lads long to follow on their sparkling form of 6 straight victorys as Horncastle put the first of many past the Massimo Taibi like Prethro. <p style="text-align: center;">With Patterson looking to make a fast impression on the game so that he could run home as fast as he could to watch his beloved Team Manchester he got down to work like a Dobson with a sweeping brush! Number two followed as the Boro Town&nbsp;big timer finished with aplomb after another Dobson assist. <p style="text-align: center;">Patterson then showed his creative side with a ball not unlike one from his Team Manchester favourate Darren Fletcher as he ripped the already fragile Spa backline in two and Dobson did the rest with an instant finish. The crowd went wild at that one as mothers covered there childrens eyes as Dobson withdrew his shirt from his Hasselhoff like body and did a full lap of honour in celebration!!! <p style="text-align: center;">Debut boy 'Ged' was proving to be a corner taking playmaker with some Arteta style balls flying accross the box.... Unfortunately on both occasions Plumpton showed the footwork of a baby Rhino&nbsp;with the latter resulting in Spa's first goal and an unwanted assist!!! <p style="text-align: center;">The second Spa goal shortly followed as some lapse concentration and the theme of the match some poor team communication resulting in Horncastle laying the Spa striker up for an easy finish past the save shy Robinson. <p style="text-align: center;">Half time&nbsp;3 v 2 <p style="text-align: center;">Patterson showed his Menanian spirit by agreeing to help out his boys in their hour of need and stay to create a bigger advantage. This did not take long after a poor arial&nbsp;challenge on Plumpton resulted in a free kick 20 yards out. The crowd looked on with bated breath as the&nbsp;free kick specialist in the mould of Fabio Rochemback stepped up and&nbsp;with 1 swoooosh of his left duke&nbsp;wheeled away in glory as Prethro again found himself on all 4's legs a kimbo picking the ball out of the net. A trademark strike from Willan. <p style="text-align: center;">With the scales tipping in Menans favour Patterson left the arena and ran home as fast as his little legs would carry him as his team mates battled on. He may of wished he had stayed a few minutes longer as another dangerous corner found Dobson, he turned and Plumpton ran in and delivered another nail in the coffin of the almost certain sacking of Spa's Prethro with the crowd ringing "You're getting sacked in the morning, Saaaaaacked in the Mooooooornin" at the Spa gaffer. <p style="text-align: center;">Plumptons goal takes his tally to two shy of the 10th of a ton mark. A quite astonishing effort by the usually shot shy Menanian but it is a strong lesson to wannabe Menanians that training and practice&nbsp;really does pay..... <p style="text-align: center;">There was time for one final goalscoring piece of action as Dobson healed some of his weekend pain with his 2nd goal of the night. <p style="text-align: center;">With an Aggregate score of 12 v 4 against Spa the Menanians left with a small glow in their bellys with the knowledge that there is bigger fish to fry in the upcoming games. <p style="text-align: center;">Next week sees our lads in a&nbsp;Champions League&nbsp;6 pointer against the Eastfield Boys. <p style="text-align: center;">Tonights man of the match was given by Prethros very own goalkeeping glove brand "Jelly Fingers" and was handed jointly to Willan and Patterson although quite how Willan managed this award beats me....
