Knowing Maccabees FC statistics, with 14 goals in just two matches, we knew that we have a tough challenge ahead.

Although Wolves were prepared mentally, but in just a short span of 7mins , we were two goals down. Everything seems to be falling apart, with our goalkeeper absent last minute from the game, Raymond stood in for the role first. Defenders wasn't in their best shape, especially Deepak. We were totally playing like a headless chicken, running all over the pitch.

At just only the 10th minute, we did a tactical switch of players, Wyman coming in for goalie, Sam playing centreback to add speed, Deepak shifting to fullback for more aggression in comparison with Adrian.

Opponents were still in the superior edge over us, even though Welson got one back from a great delivery from Sam, headed it backwards and into the goal. 1-3, just 20mins into the game. Maccabees had foreign talents in their team, resulting in a natural advantage of size over us which they maximize it fully to their usage.

With a smaller pitch, our high offside trap did work in many occasions catching their forwards off but however, their counter attacking were still too swift and precise for us to handle, scoring 2 more goals just before half time.

Half-time: 5-1

With nothing to lose, Wolves restarted the game fresh, playing like a totally new team which eventually managed to control the game back a little. Just in no time, we were back into the game, pressing them from almost every inch on the pitch, attacking them and resulting their defense to shake. And indeed, we came back 2 goals in two swift quick attack. First was created by Alex's long throw, Raymond was at the right place to head it into the net. Second came shortly after, a cross was delivered into the 6yard area, Weihao beat the defenders & goalie and managed to head into space with Alex to tap into goal.

At that moment, Maccabees were already tired and losing focus as we were showing much more control & aggression. Wolves kept attacking as if every minute was the last. Superb amount of effort was displayed in all the players but we still failed to find more goals after that.

The aggression in us was especially worth mentioning, good job on that! But once again, we failed to control the game in the early minutes. Passing rate was almost as low as only 20%, we seriously have a lot to work on regarding on that. Get our passes right to increase possession.

Just a note, even though that the pitch wasn't to standard, we still have to play to what we have. To take into consideration that in every game, we (players) have to adapt to the factors (ball/weather/pitch/etc) and not the other way.

Lets try to get back in shape the next league game! Meanwhile do look forward to next week's friendly!
