The MALFA SUPER LEAGUE is a professional football league in Malta. It is the top division of Maltese football, and is contested by 12 teams. The league was founded in 1909, and is currently sponsored by BetVictor.
History
The MALFA SUPER LEAGUE was founded in 1909, and was originally called the MFA League. The league was renamed to the MALFA SUPER LEAGUE in 1995. The first champions of the league were Floriana, who won the title in 1909-10.

The MALFA SUPER LEAGUE has been won by 14 different teams, with Floriana being the most successful team, having won the title 26 times. Other successful teams in the league include Valletta, Sliema Wanderers, and Birkirkara.
Current season
The current season of the MALFA SUPER LEAGUE is the 2022-23 season. The season started on 19 August 2022, and is scheduled to end on 21 May 2023. The current champions are Hibernians, who won the title in the 2021-22 season.
