SHCFA Women's Recreational League

The SHCFA Women's Recreational League is a 5-a-side league for women and non-binary people of all ages and abilities. It was founded in 2021 by the Sheffield & Hallamshire FA, and is currently in its third season.

The league is played on a Saturday afternoon, and matches are 20 minutes each half. There are currently seven teams in the league, and each team plays each other once. The top two teams at the end of the season qualify for the playoffs, with the winner being crowned champions.

League Rules

  • The league is open to women and non-binary people aged 16 and above.
  • Teams must consist of five players, with a maximum of two substitutes.
  • Matches are 20 minutes each half, with a five-minute break at half-time.
  • The team with the most points at the end of the season is the champion.
