Isle of Man Walking Football League

The Isle of Man Walking Football League is an amateur football league for players over the age of 50. It was founded in 2018 and currently has four teams: Corinthians, Douglas & District, Governors Athletic, and Union Mills.

The league plays its matches at the NSC Main Indoor Sports Hall in Douglas. Matches are played on a 5-a-side pitch and players are not allowed to run. The aim of the game is to keep the ball moving by walking and passing.

Rules

  • Players must be over the age of 50.
  • No running is allowed.
  • The ball must be kept moving by walking and passing.
  • There is no offside rule.
  • Fouls are penalized by free kicks.
